Using the Milan Design Week as a springboard, Carl Hansen & Son recently released two iconic pieces from Hans J. Wegner: the CH88 with color powder-coated frame and the CH417 Tray Table. In addition, the Danish firm also unveiled chairs from Ole Wanscher, Frits Henningsen and the Austrian design trio EOOS, but more on that later …
The colored CH88 and the Tray Table stand testament to Hans Wegner’s incredible versatility and creativity.
Wegner CH88 Chair – Colored Frames
After Carl Hansen & Son began reproducing the CH88 in 2014, the response was instant: “we want more!” To answer the call and to pay homage to Wegner’s fascination with color, Carl Hansen & Son has released the CH88 with color powder-coated frames. From $595.

Wegner Tray Table
In 1970, Hans J. Wegner wanted to design a table that was at once versatile and elegant. The Wegner Tray Table does not disappoint. The CH417 is available with two different tray variants: one features white and black laminate surfaces, the other has veneer surfaces in light and smoked oak. In both instances, the tray rim is made of light oak and the handle of smoked oak. As you can see below, the Tray Table fits seamlessly with the entire Carl Hansen & Son Collection. From $950.
